Written by Adrian Foo
Friday, 10 October 2008

wow. I've not blogged for so long. Sometimes I don't even have time to do anything extra nowadays.

Life has been so busy with work and stuff, the house, the new car.

LoL.

More update another day when I have a little more time.

I do spend alot of time on Facebook nowadays though.

Catch up with me there :)

I am trying for the first time, to blog using my motorola Q9H, I wouldnt say its easy but then its not fantastically difficult either. Currently I am in a wedding dinner and because its the wife's side I am left on the outside. Not that I really mind since I am content with my psp or eeepc or the Q9H. heh. Not that .i am anti social, but just dont have the opportunity to mix with them except during CNY which leads me to be just the wife's husband more than anything. Luckily for me, I can be both boisterous and quiet at the same time. Dont ask me how, but I have been an oxymoron all my life. :) I am blogging now not because I am bored or feel left out. Rather I am blogging to see if it can be done easily. ACTUALLY, it is easier than the eeepc, simply because the thumb board on the Q9H is sooooooooooo good to use. Talking about phone, i just saw the specs for the E71 and all I can say is... I waaaaaaaaaaaaant! LoL. I have always been a symbian person, especially since the in built email and browser is superior to the WM6 one. I told the wife that I will probably get the E71 next year when my plan runs up. Probably linked to my Starhub plan. till my next post I guess.

Lessons from scooping rice

Of late, I have taken to listening to FM 1003, the infotainment station arm of SPH. Everyday, they have stuff which are interesting, lame, gossipy as well as talented. My choices of words are used to describe to different programmes which I listen alot to and if you listen to the as often as I do, you would probably agree with me.

Those of you who know me for some time, know that I used to be a die hard supporter of Class95. I  never beleived I would find a better channel. And better yet, its in CHINESE. haha.

Today, they told a story which I thought is pretty meaningful and felt I should share with everyone or at the least keep it for posterity.

The story goes simply like this.

Guess Who Says The Gospel Isn’t Welcomed

I got this from another site, whom in turn got it from another. The original, is an author from the US (I think) but the thing is that if it can happen there, it could probably happen here.

Afterall, given the fact we're all so "americanized", whatever they could do, we could to right? Which really reminds me of "Yan can cook! So can YOU!"

HAHA!

If you liked the last post I had, you'll probably like this too. In fact you might even be incensed. Heh.

Service: Pre-Requisite of Leadership

I went for Mass with the wife in my church on Sunday and there was a Malaysian priest who was giving the homily for the day. He's a long haired chap with an almost maniacal kinda look on him. But this post is _NOT_ about him. LoL. Cool

He went on to tell a story about a priest in Penang who decided to go on a retreat. After going through a few possibiities, he opted for a retreat in Mexico. He went there and the facilitator started the retreat by asking everyone to introduce themselves and tell everyone else who they were, where they came from etc etc yada yada. The whole drill.

When it came to this priest, he went "Hi! I'm Father So and So and I'm from Penang Malaysia."

At that point, the facilitators looked at him in awe and gave him a hearty applause and the priest was bewildered.

At that point, the head facilitator explained why they had given him such a resounding ovation.

Well, if you're here, it means you've not given up hope on my ever dying blog. Yet. lol..

I've been happily married the last coupla months and seriously didn't think about redoing my blog till recently, having to test some stuff for customers and the likes, had to bring this back to life. So you know ... haha.

The blog will be a constantly work in progress, because I am always testing components here and modules there, so don't be surprised if the look suddenly changes or new things pop out of nowhere. This place is really my testing place for joomla components and the likes.

Oh yes, once I get the captcha working, I'll leave a guest book for all you people to leave comments too!

If/When I do, that is.
